Working Dog Mini Achievement Badge

Location: The Old Byre, Elderwood Farm, Bottom Street, Witham on the Hill, Nr Bourne, Lincs, PE 10 0JS.

Between Austerlodge and the old railway bridge before Lound, half mile down old dirt track with no sign on it!!

Open to everyone, even those who have already earnt this one. Come along and enjoy a talk and demonstration on different types of working dogs. While the demo will be safe the retrieval of game will be explained/shown and some dogs can be very noisy and seem aggressive. After the talk the children will be set a small project in order to earn the badge.


Bring wellies and wrap up warm!

If you are interested in taking one of these tests please review carefully the information below, and contact the relevant parent organizer if you have reached the minimum age and your riding is at the required level for the test you wish to take (this can be verified with your Camp instructor or at a Rally if needed).  


Test training and examination for E, D and D+ will continue to take place at Pony Club Camps.


C Test

Recommended minimum age 11.

Before being awarded the ‘C’ test certificate, candidates must have trained for and passed The Pony Club’s Road Rider Achievement Badge or The Pony Club Road Rider Test or the BHS Riding and Road Safety Test.

C+ Test  

Minimum age 13.

Before taking the ‘C+’ test, candidates must have passed the ‘C’ test, including the Road Rider achievement badge. Riders may be required to change horses or ponies for some flat work.

B Test

Recommended minimum age 15.  Only those 14 or over are eligible for B Test.

The Test may be taken as a whole or in two parts:

 B Standard Riding

 B Standard Horse and Pony Care

These Tests may be taken on different occasions and in any order.

Before taking the ‘B’ Test, Candidates must have passed the ‘C+’ Test and The Pony Club Road Rider Test or the BHS Riding & Road Safety Test.

Candidates will be required to ride more than one horse.
